Haha was speaking of terrible names I was conversing with, here is a meme about character names and origins of characters and said names.
Write out the names of your characters and explain:
1.) How you thought of their name.
2.) What made you create the character in the first place.
3.) How the character has changed over time (If they have changed).
4.) Any random fun fact about that character.
( Characters Talon, DJ, Dayma, Truda, Dameon and Cyris )
also, lineart is going slow, comic may be friday. Part of me wants to make the current file size smaller for faster inking but I think I may regret it if I ever start printing some time in the late future.

Did some sketches for thumbnails for the first two official pages for my comic. Though hey, does anyone know if it is possible to re-name a community and if so, how? Thinking about changing the armaina_manga community to armacomics, seems better, 'manga' just seems silly.

Obviously this is just general ideas of the page layout, I like them well enough. The cover itself was published on the site today, seems like I just might go with Comic Press, even if Wordpress is a pain to customize. Was thinking a Tues Thurs update schedual but think I might change it it a Mon Thurs update instead.

Decided to make some generic female cat portaits for free use. Need some practice on furc ports. These take me way longer that my regular pixel icons due to the amount of colors used. Hoping this may get more commission offers but I'm not going to hold my breath.

| Christmas and things |

Merry Christmas everyone! Kinda late I know. Spent pretty much all of Christmas at my parents. But this is a good thing because I like my parents. Had a huge brunch, chatted it up with the parents and siblings.
Later we watched Star Trek since code_zer0 had never seen it before. After which we (that is, my dad and I) educated him on that which is the original series, and explained things like the Romulan/Vulcan history and other rather important aspects that put the movie into an even greater perspective. Oh yeah, Z liked the movie, hehe. (we will convert him yet!) After watching some original eps, we finally left the house.
For Christmas I got, an electric mixer, 40$ to Kohls and 25$ to Frys. I'll see about getting some nice stuff for interviews and jobs etc from Kohls, too bad I haven't gotten any interviews scheduled yet :/ well.. here's hoping. Maybe I'll make some cookies with the mixer, I don't think Z would argue with that heh.
and a Feral type Orion thing for teadragon, because she's awesome and I realise I have hardly done anything for her.
PS: Nominations still welcome, haven't really got a lot.

Now one thing I see a lot of people do around this time is offer art for other via nomination, such as nominating your friends for free art. Thisis a pretty cool deal and is very generous of people and is a kind gesture towards friends. But one thing I've noticed with these is that I seem to see the same names pop up again and again every year, for many different artists. Now first of all I'm not trying to call out the people that have been suggested, no that's hardly it. However, it does make me concerned about the people that are constantly forgotten.
Many of us have many friends and I think much of the time there are people that are wonderful, kind people that we overlook far too often. Lately I've been trying to run accross my Flist trying to think of people I don't think have gotten a lot of recognition. However, this is proving to be rather difficult because I'm having a difficult time finding reference sheets for some of these people's character or any idea of what to draw for them. (seriously, keep a character list or ref link in your profile or something! makes it easier to do ranom art that way :E )
Soo for this I would like you to tell me people I should do a little something for that may have been overlooked this holiday. People you know that have not gotten something in similar art requests this year, or at all. Those people that, when you really think about it, hardly anyone goes out of their way for in the first place, even though they really should get some sort of recognition or kind gesture. So respond with references for these people along with your reasons for doing so. Comments will be screened. And of course if you have any questions, let me know.
I'll likely do one of those little sitting icons or something simple like this:
Ooor maybe a sketch if that style doesn't really work for the character. (humans etc) Granted I can't do these super fast, but I will get them done. I figure, even if it's not for Christmas a gift is a gift right? And who says random kindness can only be done at Christmas.
